In our opinion the very best article on the web written by Daniel Butler, Head of SEO at Builtvisible.com. A most extensive resource (and yet understandable, kudos!) providing in depth information, examples including JSON-LD and has a long list of great resources. Daniel was also kind enough to help us understand larger context of microdata implementation, thank you!

Although the Genesis Framework recently added this feature to it’s code, using the Breadcrumbs NavXT plugin and this article it is still useful here as the markup will give validation errors on some body schemas, for example on ‘ItemPage’ schema.

Schema.org
Unfortunately not always the most practical resource if you are a newbie but it does provide all the current schemas and documentation currently available. Cling to the sporadic examples at the bottom of the pages!
